Mechanical Circulation
Effective algae control in lakes and ponds
The BRIO 1.0 is a water circulator used in applications to provide mixing, destratification, and circulation of a waterbody and provides effective algae control in lakes and ponds. The unit, when in operation, maintains constant water movement from the surface to the bed of a water body. Potential applications for BRIO 1.0 include effluent mixing, promotion of channel flow and provision of effective circulation to destratify waterbodies. The submersible motor unit provides direct drive to twin propellers (180 mm in diameter) rotating at 1400 RPM.
Component Construction:
Motor Housing – marine brass
Propellers – reinforced plastic.
Standard supply of the BRIO 1.0 is in a frame and float configuration, however, supply can be arranged for a completely submerged installation of the motor unit within a mounting frame.

BRIO 1.0 Service Schedule
The Acqua & Co. BRIO 1.0 Water Circulator is a high efficiency mechanical unit which is designed to allow continuous operation in outdoor ponds and lakes. Due to its short motor shaft design and effective sealing arrangement, the BRIO 1.0 has a low maintenance requirement.
The RIO AG20 is a water circulator used in applications on larger water bodies to provide mixing, destratification, circulation and aeration, providing environmentally friendly and non-toxic algae control in lakes and ponds. The unit operation maintains constant water movement from the surface to the bed of a water body.
The rotational operation of the propeller is designed to minimise damage to marine flora and fauna and lagoon infrastructure, providing power through a 15:1 reduction gearbox, to allow the large three-bladed propeller to rotate at 115 RPM.
Component Construction:
Central Motor Housing: stainless steel
Front & Rear Motor Flanges: cast iron
Propeller Boss & Blades: cast aluminium.
Standard supply of the RIO AG20 is in an Australian-sourced frame and float configuration and is installed via 3 x 4 mm stainless steel mooring cables shackled to static points on the lagoon bank. Supply can also be arranged for a completely submerged installation, mounted on a structure or concrete slab where it is desirable to completely ‘hide’ the unit.

Rio AG20 Service Schedule
The Acqua & Co. RIO AG20 Water Circulator is a heavy duty mechanical unit which is designed for continuous operation in both fresh and salt water environments. Because of its simple direct drive design, in general terms, the RIO has a very low maintenance requirement.
However, it is important to provide effective preventative maintenance to ensure a long life from the circulator. It is recommended that an inspection of the primary seal and bearings is performed annually, with inspection of the secondary seal and bearings performed every two years. It is recommended that the maintenance schedule provided be followed to ensure effective management of your asset.
