Mechanical Circulation & Aeration
Using a
Rio AG20 Circulator

Perfect for larger lakes, ponds and water features. This is a non-ornamental solution that circulates large volume of water to control any algae or aquatic weeds and maintain a healthy looking clear water. Great for lakes and ponds in farms, nurseries and wineries in which functionality is more needed than the visual appearance.

Applying mechanical aeration and circulation depends on a number of things including the type of application, the size and depth of your waterbody, the age of the water body and the type of algae or aquatic weeds it has. The use of Rio aerator is perfect for larger water bodies with a total volume of more than 10 Megaliters. This is a non-ornamental water feature, which means the whole action happens under the water without any visual display.

Rio Circulator

The RIO AG20 is a water circulator used in applications on larger water bodies to provide mixing, destratification, circulation and aeration, providing environmentally friendly and non-toxic algae control in lakes and ponds. The unit operation maintains constant water movement from the surface to the bed of a water body.

The rotational operation of the propeller is designed to minimise damage to marine flora and fauna and lagoon infrastructure, providing power through a 15:1 reduction gearbox, to allow the large three-bladed propeller to rotate at 115 RPM.

Component Construction:

Central Motor Housing: stainless steel
Front & Rear Motor Flanges: cast iron
 Blades: reinforced plastic

Clear & Healthy Looking Water Body Free from any algae or aquatic weed

Depending on the age of your water body and the type of algae or aquatic weeds in it you should expect great results within the first few weeks from applying the algaecides. After, when installing your mechanical circulation and aeration system, your lake and pond should maintain in great shape.

Coral Coast Barramundi

Coral Coast Barramundi is located in the beautiful Whitsunday region of QLD and produces high-quality saltwater barramundi. Our farm consists of 24 x 1.2Meg plastic-lined raceways and is a fully integrated system, comprising of broodstock, hatchery, nursery, grow out and packing shed.  Coral coast Barramundi and BioRemedy have worked closely together over the past 10+ years and the  products and services they provide are second to none. Our farm has worked in conjunction with  BioRemedy on a number of aeration, circulation and oxygen injection projects.  In particular, we rely heavily upon the Acqua & Co Force 7.2 as it delivers oxygen injection and mixing like  no other product on the market. The Force 7.2 aerators have allowed us to at least double our production  and achieve excellent Feed Conversion Ratios coupled with the use of oxygen.  Corey Sander, Growout Manager, Coral Coast Barramundi

Rio Technical Data

Standard supply of the RIO AG20 is in an Australian-sourced frame and float configuration and is installed via 3 x 4 mm stainless steel mooring cables shackled to static points on the lagoon bank. Supply can also be arranged for a completely submerged installation, mounted on a structure or concrete slab where it is desirable to completely ‘hide’ the unit.

Maintenance Schedule

The Acqua & Co. RIO AG20 Water Circulator is a heavy duty mechanical unit which is designed for continuous operation in both fresh and salt water environments. Because of its simple direct drive design, in general terms, the RIO has a very low maintenance requirement.

However, it is important to provide effective preventative maintenance to ensure a long life from the circulator. It is recommended that an inspection of the primary seal and bearings is performed annually, with inspection of the secondary seal and bearings performed every two years. It is recommended that the maintenance schedule provided be followed to ensure effective management of your asset.
